The rainbow eucalyptus’ multi-hued bark is shed annually at different times, showing a bright green inner bark. The bark eventually darkens and matures morphing into blue, purple, orange and then maroon tones. It can be found in the Philippines and Hawaii.

Eucalyptus deglupta seeds are shallowly sown -- a 1/16-inch layer of soil is sufficient coverage for the seeds. The soil must remain moist throughout the germination period. This is best done with a water-filled spray bottle because this won't wash away the seeds. Eucalyptus deglupta seeds require a humidity of about 100 percent. Covering the tray with plastic wrap can help raise the humidity level. To promote aeration, make holes in the plastic wrap.
