  • The Laurus 'Nobilis', commonly known as the Bay Tree, are round and bushy ornamenetal trees which create lovely upright, leathery aromatic leaves with little hints of yellow flowers. Renown for the hardy ‘lollipop’ single stem, the Laurus tree is perfect to grow in flower borders, small gardens, hedging beds & patios.
  • Supplied at a total height of around 80cm (from the roots), the Straight Stem Bay Laurel Tree can reach an ultimate spread of around 200cm.
  • The ‘Nobilis’ Tree requires minimal maintenance due to their hardy and compact structure. To achieve the most colourful foliage, prune back the branch tips by around 10cm towards the later stage of the flourishing season (July) to encourage fresh, variegated growth the following season.
  • Originating from the Lauraceae family, these bay trees are valued all year round for their dominant display of colours. Emerging in Spring with maturing shades of yellow and green, before changing predominantly green over the Summer season. As Autumn hits, the tree will keep its strong green colours and a hint of black will start appearing. Then coming into the trees dormant stage over Winter, the colours will begin to fade away and begin the cycle all over again.

Laurus 'Nobilis' is a beautiful & low maintenance variety of evergreen tree, with a stunning green foliage which lasts almost all year round. The hardy specimen is grown with a long and straight stem which holds various yellow flowers and aromatic leaves – the ideal choice for adding some height to small gardens, patios or borders.

The 'Nobilis' is a wonderful evergreen shrub that grows into a small tree. Also known as Bay Laurel or True Laurel, this Laurus plant features excellent dark green foliage that will decorate your patio all year long. The Laurus 'Nobilis' is native to the Mediterranean and holds great culinary value.

This is a highly pest and disease resistant plant. Even though it is popularly grown in containers, it is much hardier when planted in the ground. Laurus Nobilis will prefer a sunny location but will perform no less in partial shade or dense shade. It will thrive in any soil that is moderately fertile, can retain moisture and is regularly drained. Plant them in a sheltered location, protected from cold winds.

Supplied at a total height of around 80cm (from the roots). Bay Trees can reach an ultimate spread of around 200cm.
